Put together a cool October Saturday, a lot of sausage from Manda Fine Meats, delicious cold beer from Mockler Beverage-Budweiser, Coca-Cola products, and oh yea, little 3-mile run, and what do you get? ...

The Oktoberfest 3-Miler. Proceeds will benefit the Louisiana Capital Area Red Cross. Join Mockler Beverage-Budweiser, Club South Runners, Manda Fine Meats and Baton Rouge Coca- Cola to celebrate Oktoberfest 2007 in style.

Where: In the parking lot of Mockler Beverage on Reiger Road. Reiger Road is the Service Road along I-10 at Siegen Lane.

Course: A 3-mile run through the beverage facility and the Industriplex area. Remember this is a 3-miler… think PR! And new this year, a ½-mile Fun Run! Bring the whole family.

When: Saturday, October 13th, 2007. Race-day registration will begin at 5:00pm in parking lot of Mockler Beverage. A kids’ ½-mile race begins at 6:15pm. The 3-mile race begins at 6:30pm.

Awards: The overall, masters and grandmasters men and women winners will receive a special Budweiser stein and a must-have prize! Age group awards will be given 3 deep for 5-year age groups, 14 and under to 75 and older. All who participate in the Fun Run will receive an achievement award. Great awards!

Who Does It Benefit? All net proceeds go to benefit the Louisiana Capital Area Red Cross.

Door Prizes: Beer steins, T-shirts, hats, cozies, beach chairs, rolling coolers, football items and of course …sausage!

Race Shirts: It will be a collector’s item, for sure…a great Oktoberfest performance t-shirt to all entrants. Preregister to ensure that you receive a shirt on race day!

Race Fees: Pre-registration (by Oct. 8th) $15 per person for Club South Members or $18 per person for nonmembers; Race Day registration: $20 per person

Food and Refreshments: Lots of sausage po-boys from Manda Meats, soft drinks from Baton Rouge Coca-Cola, and many fine beers from Mockler Beverage-Budweiser.

Entertainment: We’ll have tunes playing and we’re hoping for a night game so we can watch LSU stomp Kentucky on the big MP3 TV screen so bring your chairs!
