the banana Relay is being rescheduled to a later date as a result of Hurricane damage. The new race date will be posted here and notices will be sent to those already signed up once the new date is determined.

Course: 1.5 mile loop round Pennington lake

Race Rules: A team will consist of two members- it can be male-male, female-female, or female-male. The four- lap race will have each member of the team running alternate loops carrying a banana as a baton. Note: The children’s team (combined age 19 or under) and the adult/child team (child’s age 12 or under) will run only one lap. Age brackets of the regular teams will be determined by the combinations of both members’ age. If you don’t have a partner, come out anyway and we will team you with someone.

Unique Banana Awards: 1st overall men’s team, women’s team, and mixed team. Age group award categories include children’s team, adult/child team, 20-30, 31-50, 51-70, 71-90, 91-110, 111-130, 131+. Shirts: to all entrants. Fees: Preregistration (by Sept 7) $12 per person ($24 per team) for Club South Members; Preregistration by Sept 7) $15 per person ($30 per team) for nonmembers; Race Day registration: $12 per person ($24 per team) for Club South Members; Race Day registration: $18 per person ($36 per team) for nonmembers
