One of the world’s great 10K races, the Crescent City Classic is an Easter Weekend Tradition, not only in New Orleans, but in the world. It runs on a flat, fast, 6.2 mile course that lends itself to world records as well as those who just want to get some exercise.

Brother Eldon 5K and 1 mile run/walk. Catholic High School, One mile run/walk at 8 am, 5K run at 8:30 am. Entry fees: $15 adult, $12 high school students, $10 elementary students. Commemorative t-shirts, Jambalaya provided by Pete Hymel. Door prizes during the awards ceremony. Prizes: 1-mile: overall male and female; 5K: overall masters and grandmasters male and female winners as well as top-three age-group winners. There is also an alumni award. The Oxbow Triathlon is proud to announce that it has been selected as the 2010 USAT Louisiana State Championship race.

The Oxbow Triathlon is being held in the City of New Roads, Pointe Coupee Parish, LA. The City of New Roads is a jewel on the shores of False River. New Roads and Pointe Coupee Parish have much to offer. Be sure to stay and visit, shop and browse. Remember that most of us are visitors to this wonderful part of Louisiana, so be sure to thank our hosts!
